Playing with birds

I made one more card from the Basic Grey papers I used yesterday.  I used a Corner Adorner punch to create decorative slots in the corners of the cranberry cardstock.  To create the narrow frame for the Labels 2 Nestie, I cut both pieces with the same die, then trimmed green paper on the embossing line.  You have to do this while your hands are steady.  I did the same with the sentiment.  Good sharp scissors are your friend in both cases.

  1. Great hint about trimming the nesties along the embossing line. I'm pretty terrible at any sort of fussy cutting, so I'll leave that to you. Your results are fabulous and I wouldn't have guessed that you hand trimmed things on this card.

  4. Great card....you are at the 'cutting edge' of cardmaking, Velda...LOL....steady hand indeed.....from one who can write reasonably well but who when presented with a full cup of tea/coffee cannot seem to get it to the lips without a bit of a tremble....hmmmm....getting old indeed.
Hope you are well...thinking about you Tuesday night and remembering you especially.
