It's rather ironic that I have never learned to use sketches, but they used one of my cards for the sample for a sketch on the Stars & Stamps blog. I developed this card design to use when I have patterned paper with a very busy design, but it also works when I have a large image that leaves little room for other elements on the card.
These bird stamps and the sentiment stamp are from Stamper's Best. I colored them with Prismacolor pencils. The images are so large that I decided to use this sketch today.
I agree Velda, when you have a fairly complex image using a simple sketch allows it to shine. This sketch is perfect for these images and a nice one for an elaborate or busy paper too. It's interesting to see all the various cards everyone's made with it already. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteVelda, these are lovely cards! I love to feed and watch the birds year 'round. You captured the cardinal pair's coloring quite well. This sketch is a great one to feature these images! TFS!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiration today; this may become one of my favorite sketches!
ReplyDeleteLove all of the cards Velda...gosh lots of ideas for male cards here. Thanks and Congratulations indeed!
