I made this card for the
Operation Write Home Our Daily Bread Designs challenge for January. The challenge is to make a card using dry embossing.

I used this very old stencil by Sizzix to make the sentiment. After embossing with the stencil and my Big Shot, I colored the sentiment by patting a Brilliance Rocket Red ink pad over the Happy Birthday. I cut it out with a square Nestibility and cut the frame with a scalloped square Nestie.
Next, I embossed the patterned paper with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and adhered it to the red frame. The balloons were punched with a paper punch and popped on foam pop dots with twine added for the string. I tied the twine in a knot and glued it to the card with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. The entire card was placed on a white base card.
Oh Velda,
ReplyDeleteI really like how you did this whole card. The elements all go together so well. I have totally forgotten about my brass stencils, I will just need to get them out.
Thank you for joining the challenge this month.
