I think my Christmas cactus likes it's new home. Check out all these flowers that opened today. The pink one has another day or two to go.
I'm making progress on unpacking boxes and someday may have some photos to show of my new home. It's still pretty much of a mess, but I'm beginning to get organized. I need to take lots of breaks so I don't get too worn out. The neighbors have been nice so far and I think I will be happy here. How I wish I had Dick here to help me and enjoy life once again.

Nice distraction
Now that I have my computer set up again, I'm taking a bit of a break to rest up from moving. I'll get back to the unpacking and organizing soon.
I'm enjoying watching the Decorah Eagles on UStream. I missed part of the excitement while I was offline. The exciting news is that the third egg was laid last evening.
This is a screen capture from the UStream feed, that I have cropped to show more detail. The mom & dad eagles take turns sitting on the eggs and they must be turned on a regular basis.

Move complete
I finally got all my stuff out of the old house and into my rental home. I had very good helpers, but it still took a lot of time and hard work. Now, I have the task of sorting out these boxes and trying to create a home with all this stuff.
I began with very good intentions of organizing my craft room as I moved things.
Then, as things became hectic, the room turned into this:
This is the view from hallway now:
The rest of the house looks much the same. Take a look at my kitchen:
Now, I've had a break and must get back to work putting shelf paper in cupboards, so I can empty some of these boxes. I shall return - no promises on timing.

Move in progress
I began my move to new home yesterday. It was a very frustrating day because it was rainy. The remote for the garage door opener didn't work. I finally got the repairman to get one for me that would open the door. This wasted a lot of the day, so I was tired and frustrated last night.
After a good night's sleep, I awoke to beautiful blue sky. The rain here in the valley made for fresh snow on the mountains.
Today is going well. I've hauled 4 car loads of things from my craft room to their new home. It's nice to be setting up the craft room first. I'll let the movers take care of all the furniture. I should sleep well again tonight.
Tomorrow will be a full day getting phones hooked up and mail forwarded. I will be out of contact for a few days until everything gets moved and connected.

Still packing
I'm making progress in my moving plans. Yesterday, I signed the official papers for sale of the house. In one week, I will be starting to move. I'm still packing boxes. The doctor won't allow me to lift the boxes, so I pack them and leave them where they are. I will have help in moving them when the time comes. I'll see my doctors on Monday to see if I'm healed ennough from my surgery to be more useful during the moving process. Imagine living with all the boxes.
